Liverpool have failed to record a victory in their last three matches in all competitions and will be looking to bounce back when they face newly promoted side Watford on Sunday. Their last victory was a thumping 6-1 win over Southampton in the League Cup and the Reds will be hoping to return to winning ways.
Liverpool are currently ninth in the league table, 14 points adrift of leaders Leicester City but full back Nathaniel Clyne is confident that his side can mount a title challenge under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp.
"Can we win the title? Yeah, it’s a possibility," Clyne said. "Our target is definitely to get into the top four, and we are in all the cup competitions. We are doing really well.
"The league is unpredictable. It keeps everyone excited, not knowing what is going to happen."
The former Southampton man further hailed manager Jurgen Klopp who he claims is a big influence on all the players.
"We were all happy [when Klopp was appointed] and everyone is playing with a smile on their face.
"We are enjoying the game now. If you see him on the sideline he is 100 miles per hour, cheering for every goal. If a bad decision is made he’s shouting. He’s a fan on the sideline. We see him, up and down. It motivates everyone really."
Watford on the other hand have exceeded expectations and after 16 games are seventh in the league table. Attacking duo Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo have been key to their good form having contributed to 15 out of the 18 top flight goals Watford have scored this season.
Liverpool are expected to welcome back French defender Mamadou Sakho but Dejan Lovren is expected to remain on the sidelines. Daniel Sturridge is unlikely to recover from his hamstring injury either whereas James Milner will continue to nurse his calf injury.
Watford on the other hand are expected to welcome back Valon Behrami and Sebsatian Prodl to the squad.
