Jurgen Klopp has reignited new life in Liverpool football club with the Reds having won all of their last four matches in all competitions. Arguably their best performance of the season came in their 6-1 humbling of Southampton last time out, but their manager was quick to warn his teammates to not get over confident.
"We expect to win the game - we always do and we have the same thinking, but that does not mean we do not have respect for Newcastle," the German said.
"I have never had a problem with too much confidence! But confidence is like a small flower. If you have it, somebody can kick it in the game and you don't have it. And if you don't have it, you can get it back easily.
"So we have to be concentrated from the first second. If you travel to Newcastle, you have to get as many points as you can. We have to be prepared.
However the Reds will definitely be in a buoyant mood and Jurgen Klopp will accept credit for their recent performances. He also has a host of quality strikers to his expense including Daniel Sturridge who scored a brace upon his return to the side. Divock Origi will also give Klopp a selection head ache after scoring a hat-trick in the same match and might be selected ahead of Belgian international Christian Benteke.
Danny Ings on the other hand who made a decent start to the season is unlikely to play any part and is expected to miss the entire season. Liverpool will also be without the talented Philippe Coutinho for their next game who will miss the game due to a hamstring injury.
Newcastle on the other hand have been on a disappointing run and have lost thrice in their last five matches. They were humbled 5-1 by Crystal Palace last time out and will be looking to bounce back from that when they face an inform Liverpool side.
