The striker could be banned from the National Team next week, when the French Football Federation speaks about his problems off the pitch in a press conference.

Apparently, Karim Benzema's wishes of redemption will not be backed by the French Footbal Federation. Sources indicate that football's governing body in his country could decide to ban him definitely from the team next week, as a press conference was called up by the federation's president, Noël Le Graët.

The press release states that Le Graët will adress the media on December 10th, and the subject of the meeting will be discussing "all trending topics surrounding the National Team". This will be the first official announcement by the FFF since the scandal involving Karim Benzema and Mathieu Valbuena broke out, where the Real Madrid striker is accused of participating in an attempted blackmail against Valbuena over a sex tape.

The French footballers are not allowed to meet with each other, since their country's authorities have issued a restraining order for Benzema.

Sources indicate that the 27-year old striker will be left out of the French team until the matter is settled in court, but if the process takes longer than expected, Benzema may end up missing the chance to play the 2016 European championships.

Furthermore, Benzema's future with Real Madrid is uncertain, as people close to the player have revealed Los Blancos are getting ready to part ways with "Le Cat", since they don't want to be linked with a player under police surveillance.

French authorities and diplomats have criticized Benzema's attitude in the last weeks, and some of them have demanded him to be kicked out of Les Bleus permanently.
