The Colombia international believes he has not showcased his full potential under Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the talented forward, who was substituted for the umpteenth time against Eibar at the Ipurua, is probably seeking for greener pastures away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 24-year-old is reportedly frustrated at Madrid since he believes the former Liverpool coach does not have confidence in him. In his defence, Benitez claims that Rodriguez has great potential but cannot prove it for now due to injuries, which have ruled him out of key matches for Los Blancos this season.

However, with or without injuries, the player has not had a good relationship with Benitez since the beginning of the year. All this was visible on his face when he was substituted last weekend against Eibar. He walked out of the pitch head down and it was impossible to ignore the frustrations written all over his face.

Rafa can be excused for excluding the youngster from Real’s last three matches due to injury, but surprisingly, he was still excluded in the last two, yet he had already recovered from the injury.

There is always a sense of magic whenever the Colombian plays. For instance, last weekend against Eibar, he combined well with Cristiano Ronaldo with quick and on-point passes.

Rodriguez and Ronaldo celebrate a previous goal for Real Madrid.  The youngster has scored three goals for Madrid in five appearances this season.

It would be interesting to see if the scorer of the famous FIFA World Cup 2014 Goal of the Tournament will iron things out with coach Benitez, or seek greener pastures away from the Santiago Bernabeu.  LiveSoccerTV will keep you updated on this topic.
