His current contract does not expire until 2017. He has the best pass-success rate in the EPL this season with 93%.

30-year old Fernandinho may be looking to finish his career as a player for Manchester City as the club is working on his contract extension. The Brazilian midfielder's fine form at the start of this season has not gone unnoticed to club officials that plan to reward him by the beginning of 2016.

This season, Fernandinho leads the English Premier League in pass-success rate with 93% of his passes going to the right target. Besides that, he has contributed offensively with three goals, two in the Premier League and one in the Champions League.

Hard work pays off

Fernandinho has started in every game this season with Manchester City. This is currently his third with the Citizens and winning the title in his debut season has been one of the highlights of Fernandinho's career with the team of Manuel Pellegrini.

The contract of the Brazilian player with the number 25 on his back does not expire until 2017. He came into England after playing for eight years with Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine and three in his home country with Atletico Paranaense.

At this moment, Fernandinho and Manchester City are leading the Premier League standings with 26 points in 12 games, with a better goal differential than Arsenal that is in a very close second. They are also leading their Group D in the Champions League with nine points after four games due to a record of three wins and one loss.
