The French striker gave away a penalty for the Russian side during the first half, but he managed to score for The Red Devils as time expired.

Anthony Martial was able to recover from what could have been a costly mistake for Manchester United, as the French striker managed to score the game's equalizer for Van Gaal's crew during their complicated visit to Moscow.

Martial gave away a penalty kick via a handball, which ended in the game's go ahead goal for CSKA thanks to Seydou Doumbia's goal, but he made it 1-1 during the second half, saving some of his pride and giving United  a much deserved point. The French striker scored with a well placed header, which hit the upright before going into the back of the net.

Once his signing with United was confirmed, fans were dubious about his skills. Nine games later, with five goals scored and three assists under his belt, Martial is starting to silence his haters, who now want him as United's star striker, even if Wayne Rooney has to be demoted to the bench. Here are some of their thoughts about his display today.

Sarcasm, anyone?
