The Brazilian striker has 101 games for Barcelona since his arrival. He is the leading scorer in La Liga with eight goals so far.

23-year-old Neymar Jr. is far from thinking about retirement and does not even consider the option of leaving Barcelona anytime soon. The Brazilian striker arrived on July 1, 2013 from Brazil's Santos on a five-year deal.

"The renewal is under way. I still have years left on my contract. I'm going to sign. The fans can relax," Neymar said in an interview with Sport.

The Brazilian striker has played 101 games with Barcelona. In his most recent match against Rayo Vallecano, Neymar scored four goals for the first time in his Barca career. The game ended 5-2 and keeps Barcelona only two points behind Real Madrid.

"Yes, [the Vallecano match] was a historic night which I am going to savour for all my life," adding that it would not have been possible without the help from his teammates.

Neymar, along with Luis Suarez are expected to carry the weight of the team on their shoulders while Lionel Messi recovers from a knee injury. The young player believes that the team as a unit can keep winning without Leo. So far, they have only dropped points against Sevilla playing without the Argentinian star.

"Each one of us does our work and has our way of playing. We are all very important on the pitch and together we make a strong group," Neymar ended.

Barcelona now faces BATE in the third game of the UEFA Champions League group stage. The team managed by Luis Enrique has four points after the first two matches. The team tied with AS Roma on the road and beat Bayer Leverkusen at home thanks to some last-minute heroics from Luis Suarez.

Neymar has yet to score a goal in this year's competition. In La Liga, he is the leading scorer with eight goals after eight games. He has two more than Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.
