Scoring his 1st away goal in 166 days, the Arsenal midfielder sent out a special message to his partner and their unborn child.

Arsenal’s impressive 3-0 win over Watford on Saturday saw Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey bring an end to his very long goal drought, which stretched back to May.

The 24-year-old Gunners ace found the back of the net at Vicarage Road as a deflected shot crept past Heurelho Gomes in the 74th minute, with Spanish right-back Hector Bellerin assisting the former Cardif City youngster.

Ramsey then grabbed the ball and shoved it under his jersey, as the midfielder used celebrated his 2nd half goal in dedication to his pregnant wife, Colleen Ramsey, who is 37 weeks into her pregnancy.

"My wife is a few weeks away from giving birth... it’s a very exciting time for us," Ramsey said after their most recent victory.

Of course the goal was very special to Aaron Ramsey for other reasons as well. The north London side’s number 16 has not scored for his club since their pre-season 6-0 win over Lyon in the Emirates Cup.

The goal on Saturday was also the Welshman’s last goal for Arsene Wenger’s crew in a competitive match in 166 days, stretching back to May 4th, which coincidentally was also the last time he scored in an away tie for the Gunners.

The goal against Watford came after 27 shots this season.

After the game, Ramsey spoke to reporters, revealing his joy at finally scoring for Arsenal, yet took the time to hint at his frustration with Wenger’s decision to push the player wide instead of playing him in his preferred role “in the middle of the park”. Watch what the Welshman had to say.
