The Special One said that the referee in the game against Southampton was afraid of calling a penalty in their favor. Chelsea is off to its worst start since 1978 when they were relegated.

Jose Mourinho clearly isn't happy with the £50,000 fine handed by the FA to him after the game between Chelsea and Southampton in which the Portuguese manager claimed that the referee was afraid to call a penalty in favor of the Blues. The FA responded to such claims with a fine as a way to defend Robert Madley, the referee that was referenced by Mourinho.

"£50,000 is a disgrace. The possibility of getting a stadium ban is astonishing," Mourinho said in the press conference before Chelsea's game against Aston Villa.

The veteran coach believes that the FA seems to have something against him. It may seem like everything he says is not taken lightly by the association that reigns the British football world.

"Now is the time to stop with my opinions and not to add anything more. I was objective in my sadness at the situation."

£50,000 is really not that much for Mourinho. It is actually only 0.38% of his "£13.2m salary. For him its not about trying to distance himself from the FA. For Mourinho, it is about giving the fans what they deserve. He does not seem to care if his poor relationship with the FA distances him from the hot seat of the English national team.

"Maybe I am naive but, for me, English football fans and the English passion for the game is what makes me like this country and this football so much," Mourinho said, after repeatedly considering the Premier League as the best one in the world.

In the end, Mourinho is happy about one thing. The fact that he still does not have to wear an electronic tag. He knows that might be the FA's next step.
