The two players recently faced each other in the Mexico vs Argentina game early in the month. They first met in a UCL final between Manchester United and Barcelona.

Javier Hernandez is looking forward to playing Barcelona once again. However, the Mexican striker is not too excited about knowing that he won't have to deal with Lionel Messi on the pitch as the Argentinian star is beginning a long road to recovery.

Hernandez did not play in any of the games between Real Madrid and Barcelona last season. "Little Pea" was in the bench for both Clasicos and could not follow Hugo Sanchez and Rafael Marquez footsteps to play in such a big game.

CH7 is looking forward to a big game against the defending UCL Champions

Earlier this month, Javier Hernandez had the chance of playing against Lionel Messi in the Mexico vs Argentina game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It was Hernandez who got Mexico in front early in the game but Messi who tied it 2-2 in the last seconds of the match.

The last time that Messi faced Leverkusen, La Pulga scored five goals. While CH7 was still not in the team at that time, he would have liked to face Messi once again. The first time they met in the Champions League was for a final between Manchester United and Barcelona and Wembley that the Spanish team won 3-1 back in 2011.

"In life and in any profession what we all want is to be healthy. 'Bad luck', I thought when it happened. It's always bad when a player gets injured," Hernandez said. "Seeing another human suffer is never a nice thing. You can't take any pleasure from it."

Leverkusen is currently the leader in Group E. The German side won its opening game 4-1 over BATE and the Mexican striker scored his first Champions League goal with his new team in the 59th minute of play. Leverkusen's number seven has also scored once in the Bundesliga.
