Whenever Germany gets into trouble, Thomas Müller can deliver. Today, Bayern Munich's striker showed the world why he should be considered as one of the best players in the business, by leading Joachim Löw's side to a dramatic 3-2 win.
During the game, Müller scored the first two goals for the Germans, and even if the lead given by the center forward was cancelled twice thanks to an own goal by Mats Hummels and another goal by James McArthur, Müller's skills were enough to feed Ilkay Gundogan for the game winner.
After the game, stats and opinions surrounding the German striker flooded the web. Here are some of the best tweets regarding today's hero.
Thomas Muller now has 30 international goals - the same amount as Alan Shearer & Kenny Dalglish. He's still only 25! pic.twitter.com/HYDMYdUIIj

Hummels, Boateng, Ozil, Gundogan, Götze, Kroos, Muller. 7 of the 11 German players in the starting lineup tonight have rejected United...

Muller. Always at the right place at the right time. May not score the most beautiful goals, but can't think of anyone who's better for NTs.

Scruffily brilliant from Muller, that. He'd have been worth every penny if Bayern sold him to United.
