La Pulga came off the bench in the 65th minute, and needed only two minutes to find the back of the net.

In Friday’s friendly against Bolivia, Argentine superstar Lionel Messi added two more goals to his international tally for his national side, taking his stats to 48 goals in 104 appearances for La Albiceleste.

However, the manner in which the 28-year-old Barcelona striker bagged his brace had the whole world talking. 

Starting the game as a substitute, the Argentina captain came off the bench to score twice past their South American counterparts in the space of 10 minutes.

With Argentina already leading the game 4-0, La Pulga was thrown into the affair in the 65th minute, and opened his goalscoring account after only two minutes, adding a second in the 75th minute.

His first strike past Mauricio Soria’s crew came courtesy of a header, with Messi rounding the keeper for his second goal.

Messi, of course, was not the only Argentine to star in the Houston Compass clash. Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and PSG’s Ezequiel Lavezzi also grabbed two goals in the 7-0 victory, with Angel Correa etching his name onto the score sheet with an 84th minute goal.
