The Belgian midfielder is being sought out by Manchester City and other teams, but his future remains with the Wolves as of today.

Although the German team has started negotiating Kevin De Bruyne's transfer to Manchester City, a deal has not been reached between the two parties. According to Wolfsburg's Director, Klaus Allofs, the Belgian midfielder will continue playing for the Wolves if the offer made by the Citizens does not satisfy the club.

"We have agreed to open negotiations, and that has happened, but Kevin is still a Wolfsburg player. If our expectations are not fulfilled, Kevin will be playing for Wolfsburg this season, and I wouldn't mind that. In the end, there can only be winners from this deal and that applies also to Wolfsburg. If that is not the case, then there will be no transfer," Allofs stated.

Earlier today, some media outlets revealed that the former Chelsea player would be joining the Citizens after both clubs agreed on a £54 million transfer. Although the deal seems to be days away from happening, Allofs stated to the team's supporters that they can't overlook an offer for their star player, given their financial situation.

"Compared to the top clubs in Europe, we have very little means at our disposal. We must also adhere to UEFA's Financial Fair Play. People do think that money does not come into it with Volkswagen (the club's backers), but that is not the case. Be that as it may, there is no deal right now with Manchester City," he concluded.

Fans are already starting to wonder what De Bruyne can do to help them reach the EPL title.
