One week after achieving a last-minute win over Atromitos, Fenerbahce will try to confirm their spot among those who qualified for the UEFA Europa League Group Stage. Dutch striker Robin Van Persie scored the late goal, giving the Turks the chance to win the Europa League ticket in front of their supporters this Thursday.
Coach Vitor Pereira prepared the second match of this play-off series with a full squad, and he will probably repeat the lineup that defeated Atromitos in the first leg. Perhaps the only change in his Starting XI will be the inclusion of Robin Van Persie up front, after the Dutchman proved to be quite effective for the team, scoring after just nine minutes on the pitch.
On the other hand, Atromitos will need the best from their players, even though one of their key performers will not be available. Milos Stojcev will not be eligible to play, although coach Michalis Gregoriou decided the player travelled with the team. Aside from Stojcev's absence, the Greek side will have every player fit to face the Turkish team.
Fenerbahce gets to this match unbeaten in the last three games. Following their Champions League play-off loss against Shakhtar, the Turks defeated Eskisehispor and Atromitos, while ending their previous game with a 1-1 scoreline against Rizespor. As for Atromitos, the Greeks started their domestic competition with a 1-0 win over Levadiakos, which will give them an energy boost for their European showdown.
