Reports suggest that Mino Raiola, the player's agent, held talks with Lazio's Claudio Lotito to have his client play for the Biancoceleste next seaon.

Mario Balotelli's time with Liverpool may be over soon. After one of the most disappointing seasons in his career, the  £16 million flop may be headed out of Anfield Road following his agent's reunion with Lazio officers. Sources indicate that Mino Raiola, who works for the player, has been given permission to negotiate Balotelli with the Biancoceleste, one year after the Reds purchased the striker to substitute Luis Suarez.

Reports from Italy suggest that Raiola met with Lazio's president Claudio Lotito earlier this week, and Balotelli's name was mentioned as a possible transfer target. The agent would've offered the Italian team to sign "Super Mario" for one year, paying Liverpool two million euros for the loan. If the Biancoceleste wanted to purchase the player, the Reds would be willing to negotiate for 18 million euros.

Raiola's proposal will also be reviewed by the team's Sporting Director Igli Tare, who is currently in Belgium working on another deal to fortify the club. The agent also revealed that Lazio would only need to pay 30% of the player's salary in order to facilitate his transfer.

Balotelli made a sloppy comeback to the English Premier League, scoring only one goal for Brendan Rodgers' side this season. Including all competitions, "Super Mario" performed in 23 games, netting four goals in the process, as he spent the final months of the season away from the pitch due to a number of injuries.

During his first year with the Reds, Balotelli's behavior was the subject of a number of controversies. He was trolled by Manchester United fans after making fun of one of the team's losses in the EPL, was fined by the EPL for posting a "racist" picture on his Instagram account, and finally had an argument with team captain Jordan Henderson about who should take a penalty kick against Besiktas, while playing an Europa League game.
