Ed Woodward has designed an audacious two-for-one deal in order to pluck Los Blancos of two stars in exchange for the Spanish goalkeeper.

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is by far the biggest transfer saga of the summer window. After a stellar 2014-15 campaign, the Spanish shot-stopper has found himself on the radar of La Liga giants Real Madrid.

Los Blancos look to sell long-serving captain Iker Casillas, with Porto tipped as his likely destination, and are thus pulling out all the stops to lure De Gea to the Bernabeu as Saint Iker’s replacement.

However, the Red Devils are not ready to see their prized asset walk out of Old Trafford unless the deal proves advantageous for them also.

As a result, the 20-time English Premier League champions will only accept to sell the former Atletico Madrid custodian in a player-plus-cash deal that will see Sergio Ramos arrive in England.

Now, even more crazy reports on Manchester United’s demands for the sale of De Gea have emerged, with sources claiming Louis Van Gaal’s side will not budge unless Les Merengues agrees to hand over both Sergio Ramos AND Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas in exchange.

According to the report, written by Spanish news outlet MARCA, this is a strategic plan masterminded by chief executive Ed Woodward, who has taken up the affair of De Gea's future as a “personal matter”.

Fresh of reaching an agreement for Bayern Munich ace Bastian Schweinsteiger, the belief is that Manchester United are not ready to see key players exit the Theatre of Dreams unless suitable replacements have been found, in between the sticks in particular.

Real Madrid, however, have not taken the Red Devils’ demands seriously, as they believe it to be a mere procedure in a transfer negation that already appears to be heading in their favor.
