Barcelona's superstar is thinking about not playing the upcoming friendly matches with La Albiceleste after being blasted by fans and experts for his Copa América performance.

Just three days after losing the Copa América final against Chile, Lionel Messi has some doubts concerning his future with La Albiceleste. Reports from Argentina suggest that "La Pulga" could be taking some time off the National Team after being blasted by fans and experts for what they consider a "poor" performance in the recently concluded tournament.

According to reports from Argentinean newspaper Olé, Barcelona's superstar could be talking to his close friends and relatives about the possibility of missing out the next friendly matches for Argentina in September. In fact, his decision would include not playing the first games of the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers in October.

Argentinean newspaper Olé revealed Messi's intention : "Stop f***ing around!"

This would not be the first time Messi puts on hold his international career. Back in 2006, "La Pulga" did not return to play for Argentina until the 2007 Copa América, and he did the same last year, when he missed the first two friendly matches after losing the World Cup against Germany.

Even though some fans are not happy with the team's display last Saturday, the hashtag #SinMessi (without Messi) became a trending topic after the news broke out. We leave you with the best comments below.

"If the world is against you, I'll be against the world. Without Messi we are nothing"
