Albania and Luxembourg will clash against each other on match-day two of the Euro 2012 qualifiers.

Euro 2012 Qualifying: Albania celebrate against Romania for clinching a draw.A point clinched away to Romania was satisfactory for Albania to head into their Euro 2012 qualifying match against Luxembourg with some confidence. Albania’s opponents lost 3-0 against Bosnia and Herzegovina last week and are thus at the bottom of Group D, whereas Albania are set to keep fighting at the top of the table.

Tuesday’s hosts are aware that lack of concentration could blow their hopes in the Euro 2012 qualifiers away. Albania’s Josip Kuze, who should start upfront along with Hamdi Salih against Luxembourg, share his opinion as he told the press:

“Against Romania, we got what we came in for. It was great. But now we’ve got to come home without being euphoric. Instead, we have to be ready to play [against Luxembourg] in what I consider to be our most important game of the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign.

“Luxembourg will come to Tirana for the same reason we went to Romania. If we are not ready to face them, they may still a point or maybe more from us.”

Albania could go on top of Group D with a victory over Luxembourg if Belarus and Bosnia and Herzegovina – who both have three points currently – drop points in their respective fixtures. As Albania entertain Luxembourg in Tirana, Belarus will host Romania while France will play away to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Next up in October, Luxembourg will clash against Belarus and Albania will face Bosnia and Herzegovina on match-day three of the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign.
