Manchester United decided it was not worth it to keep Radamel Falcao around for another season and announced that it was time for him to go back with Monaco, the club he belongs to. The Colombian striker joined the club in the last day of the 2014 summer transfer market and was expected to make a huge impact.
Louis van Gaal used him in his starting lineup for many of the first games of the season. Then, his poor performances got him out of the starting XI and even had some games with the reserves. He played in 29 games and scored four goals during the season.
Many people did not like his poor form this year

His last goal was against Leicester on January 31. Since that day, Falcao has played in 13 games but has failed to add his name to the scoresheet. This Sunday, against Hull City, he was absent due to an injury suffered in his last training session. The manager had kind words for "El Tigre" ahead of his departure from the club"
"Falcao is a top professional and a good human being. On behalf of myself and everyone at the club I would like to wish him well for the future," Van Gaal said.
Some people still supported El Tigre

Manchester United finished fourth in the English Premier League and will have to go through qualification if they want to be back in the Champions League next season. Falcao had been linked with Real Madrid prior to his move to England. He can use the upcoming Copa America to show teams what he is really capable of.
His future may not even be with Monaco
The Falcao camp have hopes of interest from Chelsea and Arsenal but frankly that would amaze me. #CFC #AFC

Anybody who wanted Falcao to be given a new deal needs to give their head a wobble. Risk was too high. £250k+ a week and big transfer fee
