A curious incident happened during the Copa Libertadores match between Barcelona Guayaquil and Colombian side Atletico Nacional. The Colombians were ahead with a 2-1 score, when striker Jonathan Copete was heading towards the Ecuadorians' box. Goalkeeper Maximo Banguera tackled Copete to avoid another goal against them, but after he decked the striker, he faked to be unconscious.
Referee Enrique Osses was not impressed by Banguera's award-winning "performance", never doubting for a minute that he was faking an injury. Finally, after one minute of "unconsciousness", Banguera was red carded by the Chilean ref.
