Liga MX's action continues this weekend with some exciting matches along the way. Starting Friday, the Mexican top flight will take fans to the edge of their seats while their teams fight to get closer to league leaders Tijuana, and with some others taking a look at what Chivas can do to keep away from relegation spots. Furthermore, relegation candidate Leones Negros will host Tigres , who managed to equalize against River Plate in their Copa Libertadores matchup on Thursday.
Here's some games you will not want to miss:
Queretaro vs Chivas: Ronaldinho's team will try to emerge against one of the most beloved teams in Mexico
Club Queretaro's run this season in the Liga MX has been rather disappointing. After coach Ignacio Ambriz was sacked, it seemed that the Gallos Blancos were set to bounce back, but newly appointed boss Victor Vucetich will have to work harder to make them reach the heights they wanted when the tournament started. This Friday, Chivas will try to confirm their good form after beating Monterrey with by 3-0, and while they do so, Jose Manuel de la Torre's men will attempt to add points in their never-ending struggle to avoid relegation.
Ronaldinho will try to show his magic one more time against Guadalajara, just like he did last semester.
Tijuana will pu their first place in jeopardy when they visit complicated Santos Laguna
Daniel Guzman's men, one of the most exciting teams this season, will travel to Torreon to face Pedro Caixinha's crew, who have displayed quality football but haven't been able to reflect it on the leaderboard. While Santos trust their well-balanced midfield, Tijuana's Dogs will depend on what Argentinian Gabriel Hauche and Colombian Dayro Moreno can do to help them, after an exciting come-from behind victory over Pachuca last week.
Hauche and Moreno will try to replicate this celebration when they are hosted by Santos.
Pachuca host Club America after CONCACAF Champions League flop
Los Tuzos were already planning their semi-final match in the CONCACAF CL, when a late goal by Porter eliminated them from the regional tournament. They have no easy task against current Liga MX champions America, a team that will try to show that last week's loss to Leones Negros was just an accident. Las Aguilas will not have Dario Benedetto available after coming down with a thigh injury, and will try to bounce regain their second place with the help of Oribe Peralta and captain Rubens Sambueza.
Peralta(left) is set to be the main man for Las Aguilas during their visit to Pachuca.
