A French newspaper reported Manchester United has decided not to buy Falcao's letter. The Colombian has only scored four goals in 20 games.

What has been a speculation for months seems to be official today, as it is reported that Manchester United has decided not to buy Radamel Falcao. The French newspaper L’Equipe said Man United had already told Monaco that Falcao will not continue at Old Trafford next season.

A french reporter broke the news on Wednesday, but none of the clubs have confirmed it

Falcao, who was initially rumored to play for Real Madrid this season, ended up being transferred on a loan to the Red Devils earning £265,000 per week. His performances have not been up to par with his salary. Only four goals and four assists in 20 games with the team regardless of the competition.

El Tigre has not made an impact in most of Man United’s games this season. He is usually a ghost on the field and fans obviously don’t like that. If they consider buying the Colombian striker, it could cost £43.5 million, a risky move for the club.

Louis van Gaal has not been impressed with what the former Atletico de Madrid forward has offered his team. Despite that, he has also claimed the possibility of giving all the summer signings more than just a year to prove their talent.

“The first season is always difficult,” van Gaal said. “It would be more a surprise if they adapted quickly.

It is because many other players like Ander Herrera, Daley Blind and Angel di Maria have also struggled in their first year with the club. The biggest problem with Falcao is how much it is worth to give El Tigre a second chance.

If the Colombian striker really wants to stay, he only has 11 Premier League games to change what fans and the staff at Old Trafford think of him. Otherwise, it is most likely that Falcao's future is away from Man United.
