The midfileder, who recently signed a contract extension, hopes his side can take advantage of Real Madrid's recent draw against Villarreal.

Prior to their Copa del Rey match against Villarreal, midfielder Sergio Busquets asked his team-mates not to think about Real Madrid's slips in La Liga. The Spanish international believes his team should focus first on their upcoming games, rather than be thinking about the upcoming Clasico against Los Blancos, where they could surpass Ancelotti's men as La Liga leaders.

"We still depend on what we do, but there's still two more games to play before El Clasico.Let's hope it's as decisive for us as it could be, but right now our main objective should be winning what's next, and not thinking about overtaking them. Even though we can take the lead before that game, we have to be aware of the fact that we are still trailing, and we may get to that match still behind on points compared to them. We have a tough match ahead of us, and we can't be thinking of anything else," Busquets said.

After signing a contract extension with Los Blaugranasa, "Busi" denied the team was struggling to get what Luis Enrique wants from them, while defending his performances this year, which have not been as satisfying as some fans would hope.

"If there's something you can always expect, is our commitment and the best attitude possible. We will get the results our fans want, but it will take time. Right now, we have to think about Villarreal, and they have proven to be quite complicated to beat, even though we get to this match after winning the first leg 3-1," the midfielder added.
