The legendary Arsenal striker referred to both players as two of the best in history, requesting fans to stop comparing them for their efforts.

Former Arsenal and Barcelona striker Thierry Henry referred to what Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are doing for the game of football. Comparisons aside, the French legend said he was astounded by how both players keep getting better over the years, ending his quotes by asking fans simply to enjoy what they can do on the pitch.

"It's not easy to maintain such a high level of performance for so long. When you have a good year, then after four years you have another great season, then you are not consistent. But when you keep getting better and better over the years like Cristiano, then you're talking about something else. I think we are not fully aware of what they're achieving," the Frenchman said.

After praising Ronaldo's achievements, Henry referred to his former team-mate Lionel Messi, who he saw as the superstar he is right now from the very first moment he came across his path.

"You didn't have to be a genius to notice that. Right from the start, you could see that Lionel was special and is still very special. We have to enjoy his skills, because the time will come when he has to retire and we will end up missing him. I have to say that I prefer Leo because I played with him, but that doesn't diminish all the respect I feel for Cristiano Ronaldo," the former striker added.

Talking about his plans for the future, Henry revealed his intention of becoming a coach, but he established he still has a lot to learn before he takes a big challenge in one of Europe's top leagues.

"It's one thing to know about football, and it's a completely different thing to know how to pass on all that knowledge, and how to manage the player's egos. It's not an easy task and I have lots to learn. But it would bevery interesting, to say the least," Henry concluded.
