The Italian defender gave the whole world a lesson on how NOT to celebrate goals.

Saturday was a delightful day for Italian defender Leonardo Bonucci, who made the score sheet in Juventus' convincing 3-1 win over Serie A rivals AC Milan.

Being a defender, goals don't come on the regular for him, so the former Bari ace's excitement after scoring past Diego Lopez could easily be forgiven. All Bonucci wanted to do was celebrate his fine goal in similar fashion.

Unfortunately for the Azzurri center-back, he literally fell flat on his face during his goal celebration.

After flicking the ball into the back of the net with his heel from a Carlos Tevez header, the Italian ran towards the supporters to salute the home fans, but tripped and fell when attempting to jump over the advertising hoardings. Watch the moment in the VINE below.

After the game, whilst speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Bonucci joked about the incident, claiming the team practiced it beforehand.

“Oh yeah, we practiced that jump over the boards in training,” Bonucci said.

The Juventus Stadium encounter saw four different players find the back of the net, with Carlos Tevez, Luca Antonelli, and Alvaro Morata also etching their names in the score sheet.

Saturday's win means the Bianconeri stretch their lead at the top of the league to 10 points, with closest rivals Roma set to play their Matchday 22 fixture on Sunday.
