Despite the tough test before his men in the form of a potentially group-deciding tie against the Senegalese, Algeria coach Christian Gourcuff was decidedly confident of his team's chances f pulling through.

Algerian's master tactician Christian Gourcuff expressed his belief that his team had the unity and solidarity that would enable them to perform well in their crunch match against Senegal on Tuesday 27th Jan.

After Algeria's 1-0 loss to Ghana earlier on, reports had surfaced stating that there was disharmony in the Algerian ranks, but their head coach was quick to quash them, insisting that his men were united and firmly focused on the task at hand.

"It is certain that in a group, there is always something going on, but the relationships are excellent and there is a great atmosphere," the Frenchman told the press.

"There is a lot of unity and solidarity and this is priceless. Now there are totally false things that are said here and there and I leave full responsibility to the reviewers."

"We will address this game against Senegal and we'll do everything to win. We will have time to recover and prepare as it should be for this very important game."

Despite the fact that Group C leaders Senegal only needed a point to go through, was under no illusion that the Lions of Teranga would settle for just that.

"Nothing is settled," he iterated. "The final day will be critical.

"That shows how difficult a group this is."
