Sunderland's Fraizer CampbellThe English player of Ghanaian origins is on loan with the Black Cats to receive more playing time on the field. Danny Welbeck, who scored a screamer for Manchester United against Stoke City on his English Premier League debut, is excited at the opportunities that a club like Sunderland could give him.

Now his former teammate at Old Trafford, Fraizer Campbell, has encouraged the 19-year-old forward to dazzle at the Stadium of Light. Talking to Goal.com UK, 22-year-old Campbell declared:

“Danny is a few years younger than me. But, we trained together a few times, and I know what he is like. He is quick, he has good feet, he is a clever player, he can drift into the hole and play on either flank. He is a young player who can add something to the team.”

Danny Welbeck adds to Sunderland’s list of forwards which also includes goal poacher Darrent Bent. Sunderland fans will be thrilled to see both Welbeck and Bent, along with Fraizer Campbell, combine to destroy Birmingham City on the opening day of the 2010/2011 English Premier League season.

The Black Cats actually finished 13th in the English Premier League last season, four places behind Birmingham City who remarkably earned as much as 50 points in the table. Sunderland lost 2-1 away to Birmingham before triumphing 3-1 at the Stadium of Light in March this year.
