Chris Smalling, Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie scored for Louis Van Gaal's team to keep the fourth spot in the EPL standings

It seems Manchester United have managed to finally find their way this season, earning consecutive wins against Arsenal and Hull City, despite numerous injuries and setbacks along the way. With goals by Chris Smalling, Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie, Manchester United managed to beat the Tigers and remain fourth in the EPL standings.

Things were not as sweet as expected for Manchester United, since Angel Di Maria left the pitch with an injury, being replaced by Ander Herrera. Just two minutes after the Argentinian got substituted, Chris Smalling was able to put the ball into Allan McGregor's net. Being this a close call, the ref had to wait for the technological help to award the goal. After 42 minutes, Wayne Rooney chipped in with a beautiful outside-the-box strike, extending The Red Devils' lead before the break.

Things did not change after the game resumed, with United controlling most of the attacking options. After a few chances by Robin Van Persie and Marouane Fellaini, it was the Dutch striker who finished a well-built action with a massive left footed strike to give United a comfortable lead.

The Red Devils even had the chance to watch Radamel Falcao's comeback with them. The Colombian had one chance to score his second goal of the season, but could not put to good use an assist by Juan Mata.
