Watch on November 8 Queens Park Rangers face current Premier League Champions Manchester City at Loftus Road

With their sights on different objectives, Queens Park Rangers will try to earn three points against shaky Premier League defending champion Manchester City. An entertaining match has to be expected, with some still remembering the epic victory that gave the Citizens one of the most dramatic titles ever two years ago.

Queens Park Rangers need the win to leave once and for all the bottom spots of the standings, sitting in the 19th spot out of 20 teams. The Hoops fought back against Chelsea, giving the current leader a hard time for most of the match, but ended up losing 2-1. If they want to leave the relegation zone, this has to be the game that kick starts their season for good. On their most recent match as hosts, Harry Redknapp's men defeated Aston Villa with a 2-1 score, so they must try to establish a winning streak at home to help their hopes. Rio Ferdinand will be missed, since he's been banned three games after a discussion via Twitter.

This week has not been quite lovely for Manchester City, despite beating their neighbors in the Manchester derby. Their loss against CSKA in the UEFA Champions League left fans doubtful about their chances this season in all tournaments. Eliminated from the Capital One Cup, and holding the last place of their group in the UCL, The Citizens have to attempt a comeback in their domestic championship, where they hold the third place behind Chelsea and Southampton.

The Sky Blues will rely on Sergio Aguero's current streak, scoring 11 goals in his last 12 matches, and holding the first place among the league's scorers. If Manuel Pellegrini's side gave away the three points, then their coach would be in a much tighter position, fueling those rumors that point to his departure.

Pellegrini will have Frank Lampard recovered from an injury, but he will still miss David Silva and Vincent Kompany, who is expected to be out after hurting his calf in this mid-week's match.
