One of the most anticipated matches in Group 3 of Copa MX is, without a doubt, the one that will face Chivas and Tijuana on Tuesday. Tijuana needs to win desperately if they want to enter the knockout stage, while Chivas may seal their ticket if they earn the victory at Omnilife Stadium.
Perhaps one of Liga MX’s teams that has taken more advantage of Copa MX is Chivas, giving them the boost they need to fight against relegation for the first time in their 108 year history. Chivas enters this match leading Group 3, after winning three out of four matches. Guadalajara will rely on experienced players such as Omar Bravo and Luis Michel to secure their ticket to the next round.
For Tijuana, this match will represent the second one under Daniel Guzman’s coaching. The former U de G and Guadalajara player will try to give “The Dogs” the fighting spirit that characterized him as a player, also proving wrong Chivas’ owner Jorge Vergara, who let him go after stating to the media Guzman should never coach in Mexico again. So, Tijuana will want to back their coach with a victory, keeping their next round hopes alive.
