After their disappointing World Cup, things don't seem to be looking up for the English National Team. It's true, a victory always helps making progress, but fans are not happy with some individual performances, as they hope things turn around for good.
Perhaps the only good news for the English squad was Wayne Rooney's penalty kick. The striker scored for the 41st time wearing the National team's shirt, earning him the 4th place in the all-time scoring list. Rooney has to score nine more times to become the all-time leader, surpassing Gary Lineker and Bobby Charlton, among others.
We know you love to read about people trolling their teams, so scroll down and read some of the best Twitter offered about this bad show.
Rooney emphatic pen, his 41st #eng goal, moves ahead of Owen. Only Greaves (44), Lineker (48) & Bobby Charlton (49) ahead in all-time list
