Being deemed as one of the biggest summer transfers for a Premier League side, Welbeck will wear Number 23 for Arsene Wenger’s team.
After rumors that saw his future moving away from Old Trafford, English striker Danny Welbeck was one of the most interesting transfers happening on Deadline Day. Arsenal’s first bid for Welbeck wasn’t what the player expected, since he wanted to be transferred and not be involved in a loan deal. Finally, his wishes were granted and he signed a five year deal with the Gunners.
Arsene Wenger was in need of signing another striker, since Olivier Giroud came down with an injury that will leave him off the pitch for the remainder of 2014. With Welbeck on board, Arsenal finished their transfer window activity.
