With the transfer window deadline day in full swing, high-profile transfer speculations have been in full throttle. Of course, the one grabbing most of the headlines is that of Radamel Falcao's move to English Premier League side Manchester United.
Early on Monday, news broke that the Colombian hot-shot was not headed for the Red Devils' city rivals Manchester Cityas initially thought, but was in fact on his way to Old Trafford.
As reported on BBC Sport, Louis Van Gaal has agreed a season-long loan deal with Monaco for El Tigre, costing a mere £6m, with the option of making his Old Trafford stay permanent for £43.5m next season.
Falcao, who scored 11 goals in 20 games for Monaco last season, only moved to Ligue 1 a season back, leaving La Liga side Atletico Madrid for a whopping £50m. The player was believed to be keen on a Real Madrid switch, especially after the player tweeted "Dream come true #halamadrid" on Twitter, which the 28-year-old later blamed on hackers.
The news was widely welcomed by the Red Devils fans, whilst some called for defensive reinforcements, as Arsenal and Manchester City fans rued the chance of signing the South American ace.

Falcao is a great addition, if he can recreate his Atletico form, we have the best striker in the world. Still in disbelief we have him.

I'll be buzzing if Falcao signs for us. Still hopeful we can get a CB & possibly another CM by the end of the day though!

Happy with falcao espically if rvp needs an op on his knee! Two world class defenders wouldn't go astray either and a holding midfielder!

DEADLINE DAY: Falcao's deal with United is subject to FFP reasons. Should be an official bought player next season.
