Falcao's move to Real Madrid could be a no-go as the Premier League giants are pushing to snatch him before deadline day.

Although he has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, in which it would see him re-connect with former Monaco teammate James Rodriguez, it nonetheless hasn't stopped the media from linking Radamel Falcao to a whole host of sides.

Clubs like Arsenal and Juventus have also been mentioned as being interested, although a move to the Bianconeri seemed highly unlikely due to the fact that the Turin side do not have the funds to make a big enough offer to interest cash-rich Monaco.

However, there is a certain Premier League side--reigning champions Manchester City--who now have been associated with making a deadline day swoop for the Colombian international.

City, despite their massive funds needed to move on some players, and according to reports, had raised £24 million--less than half of Monaco's asking price of £50-55 million--by selling Jack Rodwell, Gareth Barry and Javi Garcia as they attempt to stay within FFP regulations.

The squad have been already punished with a fine and were only allowed to spend about £49 million or so on transfers for their infractions.

Yet, there presented just one more stumbling block--the situation of striker Alvaro Negredo, who needed to be moved on in order to raise more money. And, now reports indicate that the Spaniard has agreed to join Valencia, meaning that the Premier League winners could nching ever closer to getting their man.

Arsenal and Manchester United are also reportedly keen, but it seems more likely should he end up in England that it will be with Manchester City.

Then again, with the transfer market, one never knows!
