Manchester United will return to Old Trafford where they face Spanish side Valencia in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday, the 12th of August.

The Red Devils maintained a perfect record in preseason games after picking a 3-1 win over fellow English team Liverpool in the International Champions Cup Final. Under the tutelage of their new coach Van Gaal, United have looked a completely different team and the 20 time league champions are yet to lose a match under the Dutchman.

The former Netherlands coach has received praise from many of his players and former Man United star Nicky Butt who is also part of the backroom staff came forward to laud the incoming manager who he believes has the same aura around his as legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

"He is obviously a very in-control man," he said.

"He has an aura about him - when he walks in the building, you know who the boss is, and I think that is very important.”

"We had that with Sir Alex for all those years and I think we have that now with Van Gaal. He walks into the building and he commands your respect.”

"All the players look up to him as the leader and that is how it should be.”

"From afar, when I've looked at him it looks like he takes no messing about and if anyone doesn't toe the line, I'm sure they will be out of the team."

United were as impressive as they have been during their preseason outings when they faced Liverpool in the ICC final. Steven Gerrard gave the Merseyside outfit the lead in the 14th minute after expertly dispatching a penalty.

Man United responded strongly in the second half scoring three goals in the process. Rooney began the proceedings for the Red Devils after getting at the end of Hernandez's cross to guide the ball into the net. Juan Mata added a second just two minutes later and youngster Lingard rounded off the scoring as Man United picked up a 3-1 victory to clinch the title.

Valencia on the other hand are on a good run after winning the Emirates Cup held at Arsenal’s home, the Emirates Stadium. The Spanish side drew against Monaco in their opening fixture before picking a 3-1 win over Benfica to win the title.
