Although he was sacked by Milan earlier this year, Massimiliano Allegri was not out of a job for long as he has now been announced as the new coach for Juventus.

For Serie A fans, this summer indeed has gotten quite interesting.

First yesterday was the abrupt resignation of Juventus coach Antonio Conte after what many reported as an on-going dispute regarding the club's failure to capture certain key targets in the transfer market.

And now, the Bianconeri have moved quickly to replace him on the bench, with former Milan tactician Massimiliano Allegri.

Rossoneri fans will remember him from winning the Scudetto during his first season in charge of the 7-time Champions League winners, only to see the team's fortunes decline over the next few campaigns--especially following the sale of star duo Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva.

And, then of course, is an issue that still makes Diavolo fans grind their teeth--when Andrea Pirlo was allowed to depart to rivals Juventus, where, of course, the midfield maestro has quickly become a key part of his new side.

Allegri's tenure with Milan certainly has not inspired confidence in his tactical nous, especially not for La Vecchia Signora's supporters. After all, Juventus have won three straight Scudetti under Conte and many expect them to match that domestic dominance with a serious continental charge this season.

Not surprisingly, then, social media was abuzz with calcio followers taking to Twitter to express their dismay with the new Juventus coach, with #NoAllegri quickly catching on.

Here's some of the fan reactions:

Oh, and it will be interesting how Pirlo reacts to having to team up with his former boss...
