Del Bosque commented "Absolutely inexplicable, I have no words" after the Netherlands demolished Spain 5-1

Although it is the first game of the World Cup, Spain may already be out, after Netherlands completely annihilated them 5-1. Despite the trashing not cancelling out the 2010 final, it surely was quite the revenge.

After humiliating Pique with his inhuman pace, Robben dribbled Casillas before scoring

Spain just bowed down to the Dutch five times today, as Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben just did whatever they wanted in the half of la Furia Roja. Pique and Ramos just could not keep up, and both Spanish full-backs displayed a miserable performance.

Robin van Persie scored a beautiful equalizer with a diving header

Most of all however, was Iker Casilla’s own doing. Real Madrid’s keeper committed a number of unbelievable mistakes as he may have played his last game for Spain. After the game, Vicente del Bosque was speechless and just could not understand what went wrong. Spain’s coach commented:

Absolutely inexplicable, I have no words.”

Apparently, Diego Costa knew the result all along

Robin van Persie also commented the game, as the Dutch striker could hardly hold in the joy. Manchester United’s attacker scored twice and had overall an incredible game. Netherland’s captain stated:

“In the end, it could have been five—well, it was five—but it could have been six, seven or eight.”
