With the World Cup growing closer, Brazil have been given a boost as they see themselves reach the number three spot in FIFA's new rankings

The June 2014 FIFA rankings brings joy to the nation of Brazil as the World Cup hosts enter the top three. Neymar's side have been in sizzling form ahead of the World Cup kick-off on June 12, one that stretches back to the Selecao's successful 2013 Confederation Cup campaign, and have now been awarded for their hard work

The latest rankings do bring positive news for La Albiceleste, as well, with Messi's Argentina moving into fifth spot. However, it isn't the happiest of days for his La Liga rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, as Portugal were knocked off of third spot by Scolari's men.

After the news of Radamel Falcao's absence from football's grand prize, Colombia drop from fifth to eighth, surpassed by Hitzfeld's Switzerland, who move into fifth.

There have been some significant changes in the top 20 as well with Modric's Croatia moving from 20 to 18 on the list. France move from 16 to 15, England move into 10th spot, and USA move one spot up into 13th.

Spain and Germany remain untouched at number one and two, respectively.
