After a season-long loan spell, Deulofeu and Rafinha return to Barcelona

Two Barcelona players out on loan, Rafinha Alcantara and Gerard Deulofeu, have made their return to the Liga BBVA giants after spending a full season at Celta Vigo and Everton, respectively.

Deulofeu had spent a promising season at Merseyside team Everton, scoring four goals and racking up four assists in all competitions, as he helped the Toffees to a Europa League berth after narowly missing out on the Champions League spot to Arsenal.

Rafinha, the other returning Blaugrana footballer, played for the current Barcelona coach Luis Enrique while the two were at Celto Vigo, with the Catalan side's boss characterising Rafinha as a "fighting spirit, someone who gives his all to do things right".

"I hope to learn from these great players."

Deulofeu, who wrote a moving farewell message to the Everton fans, also expressed joy over his return to Camp Nou, saying: "I'm very happy. I've really missed this. I know there's competition and I think that is good."
