Some people really do seem to have a serious case of bad luck. It has not been the easiest season so far for new Juventus signing Angel Di Maria, who arrived in Turin on a free transfer from PSG. Whether it has been injuries, or suspensions, the Argentinian international has taken a bit of time to get settled into life in Serie A, and now, this latest news certainly will not make things easier.
According to reports from Italy, Di Maria's home was the target of an attempted robbery this week, with the same report indicating that it is very likely that the player and his family were at home when this happened.
While police have arrested one of the criminals, the group still did manage to break into the premises before being thwarted by a police car who happened to be in the vicinity.
Di Maria unfortunately is no stranger to robbers targeting his house. Back in March 2021, he was substituted off during PSG's match against Nantes after the team found out that people had broken into his home and stole watches and other jewelry items worth over $500,000.
And in 2015, while playing for Manchester United, his home was targeted in February of that year. On that occasion, he was at home with his family having dinner, which thwarted any attempts at stealing anything - but nonetheless certainly would have been a distressing experience for Di Maria and his family.
