In a recent interview, Japan's talisman, Honda, revealed that his country is "ready to shock the world."

In a recent interview to the newspaper Kyodo, Keisuke Honda talked about Japan and its impending challenge in the World Cup. The Japanese players, who is currently in Florida preparing for the upcoming international competition, said:

“I think we are all ready to shock the world, [w]e just have to believe in our style and play like we normally do. Right now, we are focused on going as far as possible.”

Honda was already under the spotlight during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa

Further, AC Milan’s midfielder added:

“The World Cup only comes around once every four years and there is no guarantee that I’m going to be around in four years’ time. So I want to play this tournament as if it will be my last.”

The Japanese player has the ability to skip past any defender 

 

In Brazil, Japan will face the Ivory Coast, Greece, and Colombia in Group C.

Kagawa will be another Japanese player to be followed closely
