Manchester United's new manager Louis van Gaal has constantly been rumored to be after Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos, and Barcelona playmaker Cesc Fabregas since his appointal as Red Devils boss.

With an attempt to stomp his authority at Old Trafford, and reshuffle the squad, a new midfield look at the Theatre of Dreams is expected for the upcoming 2014-15 English Premier League season.

However, the current Netherlands national team coach has dropped his chase for the Bavarians and Blaugrana stars, ejecting them from his transfer wish list, and is now rumored to have turned his attention to Bayern Munich fan-favorite Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Louis van Gaal knows Schweinsteiger well from when the Dutch manager was coach at the Allianz Arena, and the current Bayern Munich manager, Pep Guardiola, is stated as being ready to listen to offers of around £10 million for the German midfielder.

The 29-year-old Die Roten ace is also believed to be wanting a new challenge, one away from the Bundesliga, thus further sparking the Bayern Muich exit rumors.
