About C More Sport 1

C More Sport 1 is a Finnish television channel owned and operated by C More Entertainment, also known as the Telia Company. The channel was originally launched as Canal + Sport on May 1, 2004. That name would only last for two years, as it would be rebranded to Canal+ Sport 1 from 2006 until 2012, when Canal+’s channels were relaunched as C More. C More Sport 1 is often referred to as the primary sports channel for the C More brand in Finland.

Over the years, C More Sport 1 has covered a wide variety of disciplines from all regions in the globe. Some of the sports that have been covered on this channel have included football, tennis, ice hockey, basketball, mixed martial arts, motorsports, and more. Both domestic and international competitions have been aired, most of them in Finnish language.

Speaking about football, C More Sport 1 has covered leagues such as La Liga, the Italian Serie A, and the Argentine Primera División. Added to that, the channel has also included European club competitions such as the UEFA Europa League. National team football has also been part of the channel’s grid with the network’s coverage of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Moreover, the network’s agreements with club TV channels such as Barca TV, Real Madrid TV, Arsenal TV, and Chelsea TV have given users a wide range of options to watch on this channel.

C More Sport 1 saw the light as a Standard Definition channel, but a High-Definition feed was made available soon after the channel’s most recent change of name. Since the HD feed airs the same content as the SD option, both channels may still be available in some regions of the country.
