About
beIN Sports 3 Indonesia History, Coverage, Features
beIN Sports Indonesia is part of a global sports network owned and operated by the beIN Media Group. The channel was launched on June 1, 2012, with the Indonesian version of the channel seeing the light in 2013. This channel was launched in 2016 to replace a former channel called beIN Sports Premier League.
As its name states, beIN Sports Indonesia covers some of the top sports events taking place all over the world. The main focus of the channel has been to air football content to its viewers, but disciplines such as tennis, handball, basketball, motorsports, and more have been made available to its users over the years.
When it comes to football, beIN Sports Indonesia 3 has aired content from leagues such as La Liga, the English Premier League, Serie A, Ligue 1, and other top-tier football categories from Europe. American leagues such as the MLS and the Brasileirao have also found airtime on this channel. Added to that, cup football has included games for the FA Cup or the Coppa Italia on this channel over the years. This channel has aired mostly the same content as the one available on beIN Sports 2 Indonesia since its launch.
When beIN Sports Indonesia was launched, all channels were available in Standard Definition. As time went by, a High-Definition feed and a Ultra High-Definition option were made available to the network’s users. The SD option has been dropped by the network, leaving the HD version and a downscaled option of the channel as the most popular in this country via different pay-tv carriers.
