We are down to the last eight teams in the continental competition with some exciting clashes coming our way. Have a look at all fixtures here.

The last eight teams in the Concacaf Champions Cup are ready to play the Quarter final stage of the competition, and there will be some interesting games to keep an eye on along with some surprise guests involved in this stage.

Keeping up with how things have developed in the past years, the competition will welcome mostly Liga MX and MLS clubs. The only exception to that rule will be Costa Rica's Herediano. The Florists returned to this tournament after a four-year absence and are trying to repeat their performance from 2015 when they reached the semi-finals. Nonetheless, their road to that stage will include a stop through Mexico, a country where they have struggled to win games in the past.

The rest of the ties will see MLS clubs facing Liga MX teams, in what should be a good preview for this year's Leagues Cup. Mexican teams were complaining about how that tournament was created to benefit MLS clubs, and now they will have a chance to prove that notion as correct by hosting all return legs in their ties.

Without further ado, let us give you a heads up on how things will unfold this week. Remember that the return legs for each fixture will be held next week, where away goals could be used as tiebreakers if the aggregate is level after 180 minutes.

Tuesday, April 2

Things will get going on Tuesday with two matches being held across North America, and both will continue to ignite the MLS-Liga MX rivalry. The first match will be Columbus Crew vs Tigres UANL, where the recent MLS Cup winners will face the Apertura 2023 runners-up in the Mexican top-flight. The Crew and Tigres will play their first-ever match against each other, but both have a bit of experience facing teams from their opponents' league. Columbus have won three of their ten games against Liga MX clubs, while Tigres have beaten MLS sides fifteen times in 21 fixtures.

Next up, New England vs América will feature the defending Liga MX champions at Gillette Stadium for the first time in history. Meanwhile, New England will be facing their tenth Liga MX opponent. In those games, the MLS club has won eleven out of fourteen matches, while América have only won nine out of 18 games against MLS opposition.

Wednesday, April 3

Inter Miami vs Monterrey will kick things off on Wednesday, with a major question mark surrounding Lionel Messi's involvement in this game. The Argentine's presence -or absence- in this game will determine quite a lot of their options to win the tie, as Gerardo Martino's men have only won one game in this MLS season without Messi on the pitch. On the other hand, Monterrey will return to a familiar stage of the competition following a 2-0 loss to Guadalajara, which raises a few doubts on their chances to beat the Miamians. This game is seen as a major test for Inter Miami, who will face their second Liga MX rival ever. On the other hand, Monterrey have won 16 of their 22 matches against MLS opposition, one of the best records for a Liga MX team.

Hours later, Herediano vs Pachuca will put an end to the first legs in the Quarter finals, with the team from Costa Rica aiming to extend their run in the competition. The Central Americans will face a Mexican rival for the 19th time, with a woeful record that has seen them win only three of those with ten defeats in return. On the other hand, Pachuca have only faced one team from Costa Rica, with one win and one draw to show for. Herediano are seen as big underdogs for this game, but they already defeated Toluca in similar circumstances during this competition, and there is no reason to believe they can pull off another stunning result to keep their title dreams alive.
