The Brighton teenager is garnering attention from some of Europe's biggest club, including this Premier League powerhouse.

Evan Ferguson is one of the hottest young strikers in football and if anyone was doubting his talent, his brilliant hat trick in the 3-1 win over Newcastle announced to the world that he is the next big thing.

As a result, he is said to be already garnering interest from Europe's biggest clubs. In fact, one report claims that a Premier League powerhouse has begun planning a move for the Irish talent.

That club is none other than Manchester City. This is according to a report by inews which claims the Cityzens are closely following the 18-year-old for two reasons.

The first is quite obvious. While the treble winners have the unstoppable Erling Haaland leading the line, the Norwegian sensation continues to be linked with Real Madrid and should he depart for Santiago Bernabeu sooner than expected, Manchester City would have a replacement lined up.

Additionally, Guardiola's side are open to the idea of having both Ferguson and Haaland in their squad, competing with one another and possibly playing side by side. The report states that there is interest in the Brighton youngster from other top clubs but no particular team was named.

The teenager, who will miss Ireland's upcoming 2024 UEFA Euro qualifier against France due to an injury, has four goals in the Premier League so far this season. However, as mentioned earlier, three of those goals came over the weekend in Brighton's win over Newcastle.

Haaland, on the other hand, has six goals in four outings this season. As a result, the thought of Manchester City having both Erling and Evan at the same time would be daunting.
