With the transfer window still open, the English side decided to part ways with two footballers relegated to the bench by coach Postecoglou

Tottenham has decided to keep their squad short, and their intents to do so have seen two more players leaving the club during the ongoing international break.

Earlier today, the North London side confirmed the transfers of Davinson Sánchez and Tanguy Ndombelé to a Turkish Super Lig club. The move for the Colombian ace is permanent, while the French footballer will be joining the yellow and red club on loan.

The club that will welcome the footballers in question is none other than Galatasaray, who will certainly appreciate their contributions when the time comes to play UEFA Champions League football, especially when they face Manchester United in Group A of the continental tournament.

Tottenham bid farewell to Sánchez after a six-year stay in North London. The Colombian played the opening game for Postecoglou's side this season, but was relegated to the bench in all subsequent fixtures. Sánchez leaves Spurs having played 207 games whilst scoring five goals, and will join Galatasaray on a two-year deal with an option for a third.

As for Ndombelé, the French midfielder will continue his playing career on loan for a third consecutive season. The player spent the second half of the 2021-22 season on loan with Lyon, and after failing to make an impression there, he joined Napoli in a similar deal, although he played a relevant role for the Partenopei's Serie A title run.

The midfielder has played 91 games for Spurs, scoring ten goals. Nonetheless, he has failed to become a regular starter for Tottenham and had not even played a single minute in the 2023-24 Premier League season. A permanent deal could be worked out between the Turkish club and Tottenham, but the player's performance will be crucial to that purpose.
