Four games will put an end to the group stage in the tournament between North American teams. Take a look at this guide to see what's at stake.

The end of the group stage in the 2023 Leagues Cup is here, and there are still four spots to be allocated to play in the next round, which will be determined between the eight teams playing today.

Only one of the groups that will be sorted out tonight has handed out its two spots for the KO stage, but the order in which those teams make it to that round is yet to be determined. In the other three groups, things can still change among those involved, so there could be quite a few permutations taking place during tonight's matches.

Without further ado, let us give you a glimpse on all fixtures so you get a better idea on what will be in play this Sunday.

América vs Columbus Crew

Both these clubs have already made the next round thanks to their respective wins against St. Louis City, but the top spot of the group is yet to be handed out. América have the upper hand right now due to their 4-0 win over St. Louis, but that can change with a defeat against the Crew tonight. In order to reach the No.1 spot in group Central 1, both Las Águilas and The Crew have to win the game, whether it is after 90 minutes or via penalties. This will be the first competitive match between these teams, and while the Crew have had their fair share of meetings against Liga MX teams, facing América will not be an easy task for Wilfried Nancy's men.

Puebla vs Chicago Fire

La Franja had a woeful first outing in the competition, which has seen them drop to last place in group Central 2. Nonetheless, they still have a legitimate shot of reaching the next stage if they can find a way to beat the Fire tonight. The team in white and blue would eliminate Chicago with a win, although they would need to even up their goal average to avoid any setbacks. On the other hand, Frank Klopas' boys defeated Minnesota 3-2 in their previous Leagues Cup clash, meaning that even losing the match after penalties would seal the deal for them and leave Puebla empty-handed.

Toluca vs Colorado Rapids

Los Diablos had a roller-coaster ride of a match against Nashville, who they ended up defeating 4-3 in an electric game. On the other hand, the Rapids were not so lucky to beat Nashville in their previous outing, which means their chances of making the KO stage rely solely on defeating Toluca after 90 minutes. A draw would do the trick for Toluca, but Ignacio Ambriz's men have suffered some ugly upsets in the past, and this seems like a game they could totally bottle, meaning that they need to go all in to avoid any surprises and seal their No.1 spot in this group in any way they can.

Guadalajara vs Sporting KC

It was not the best start for either team, with Sporting losing against Cincinnati after penalites and with Guadalajara having to play their game in two different days due to an electric storm. Now, these teams face each other with the final spot in group Central 3 up for grabs, adding fuel to the fire of an igniting rivalry. Earlier this year, both teams were involved in a transfer saga featuring one of SKC's players (Alan Pulido), and since Guadalajara were unable to sign him, there is a certain element of animosity between these clubs. Furthermore, Chivas' coach Veljko Paunovic has been beaten three times by Sporting KC in four tries, which means he will be looking for redemption in this game while also trying to save Chivas the embarrassment of being the only team among the "Four Greats" in Mexico to be eliminated in the group stage of this tournament.
