The Spanish giants will push hard to boost their squad following their unsuccessful run in La Liga and considering the ages of some of their stars.

Real Madrid might still be alive in the Copa del Rey and in the UEFA Champions League, but following Carlo Ancelotti's remarks, the club has started to plot their transfer activity for next season with four positions to boost.

Earlier today, reports flying in from Spain hinted that Jude Bellingham was in line to become the first summer signing for Los Merengues. The English starlet will not get to the Bernabeu alone, as the club is plotting three more moves to increase their chances of success next year, particularly in La Liga, where they fell behind in the race to beat Barcelona.

The first position where Real Madrid believe to need some help is none other than No.9, where Karim Benzema has dominated for the past decade. Nevertheless, the player's frequent injuries and lack of resting time have urged Ancelotti to ask for experienced reinforcements that will allow Benzema to rest, but will also aid them in their quest to see Alvaro Rodriguez becoming a reliable option. While names such as Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen have been linked to the club, the most viable alternative would come from Turin, where Dusan Vlahovic could leave Juventus for a lower fee.

The second area where Los Merengues need help is the right-back position. Dani Carvajal has also been a reliable player there for quite a while, but his injuries and a recent dip in form have seen Los Blancos scanning the market for options. One of those is none other than Reece James, who is still under contract with Chelsea, but the team's need to offload players this summer could be one good reason to part ways with the 23-year-old.

The same goes for the left-back spot, although Los Merengues seem to have done their homework by re-signing homegrown footballer Fran García, who has thrived this season with Rayo Vallecano.

According to reports, the last spot where Real Madrid want to add talent is the midfielder position. Yes, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric will be back, but Los Blancos want to boost their options with another holding midfielder, and that is where Gabri Veiga would come in. The 20-year-old footballer from Celta has caught the eye of many teams in Europe, and with a $40M buyout clause, a move away from Vigo seems like a feasible option.

All in all, Real Madrid will be quite active in the offseason, with many players leaving and others with forced contract negotiations. Only time will tell which of these moves will come to fruition, but we can surely believe that Los Merengues will be right in the middle of all transfer talk during the upcoming summer.
