The former striker did not hold back when praising both teams, although his verdict may only satisfy one of them.

The biggest stories in the FIFA World Cup have been linked to Morocco's run in the tournament. Nevertheless, football legend Ronaldo believes that their good luck in the competition will not be enough to see them reach the final or even win the title.

Speaking in a press conference, the former striker admitted he would love to see them going all the way, but facing France in the semi-finals might be one tough hurdle to overcome.

"Morocco are being the big story in the World Cup. Their defending is amazing! They knocked out Spain and Portugal, it's a great story. For the teams that lost to them it has been hard, but football gives us these stories we must appreciate. I'd love to see them win, but I don't think they can. France is too strong, we've seen it. They are the big favorites to win it all," Ronaldo said.

The former Milan and Real Madrid player went on to praise Kylian Mbappé, who's experience winning a World Cup at a short age may be decisive for France's aspirations to win back-to-back trophies.

"Mbappé is having a great World Cyp. He has the physical and technical skills that really knock you off your feet. He can become the best player in the world because of his natural talent, and being only 23 years old, he already has the experience of winning a World Cup," Ronaldo added.

The former striker refused to predict which teams will play the title clash, but he ended up revealing who might be the winners after what has been seen in the competition.

"I always predicted that the final match would feature Brazil and France, but now that Brazil are out, France are the big favorites," Ronaldo concluded.
